Job Chapter 6

This chapter is Jobs response to Eliphaz accusations that he must have sinned against God to be going through such horrible curses.

Job replies

That his pain and anger out weighs the sands in the sea this is why he lacked thinking about what he said and how the distress came frome his mouth (see chapter 3). He goes on to say that Gods arrows are inside of him. And their words are like poison to his spirit. Gods terrors are arranged against me.I refuse to eat your words.

Job says O if God would grant my request and give me what I hope for, that he would crush me, let loose his hands and cut me off. Then I would still have this comfort, my joy in this unyielding pain is that I did not deny the words of the Holy one.

Job goes on to say do I have strength that I should hope. What are my possibilities that I should be patient? Am I unbreakable like stone, do I have the power to help myself, Now that success has run away from me.

A man showing the loss of all hope, should have the loyalty of his friends, even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty. But my brothers are undependable as irregular streams

Job goes on to say that they are like a merchant traveling and sure that when he reaches his water destination he is disappointed because there is none. He express to them that they were no help, he  says you see something dreadful and are afraid. He ask them have I ever asked you to pay a ransom for me from your wealth, deliver me from my enemy, ransom me from the clutches of the ruthless?

Job tells them teach me, and  I will be quiet; show me where I have been wrong. How painful are honest words! But what do your arguments prove? Do you mean to correct what I say, and treat the words of a dispearing man as wind? He says to them you would cast lots for the fatherless for exchange for service (barter)  for your friend.

Job says look at me would I lie to your face, abandon that Idea don’t be unfair; for my integrity is at stake. Is there any wickedness on my lips? Can my mouth not discern malice?

Wow I didn’t want to interupt this one, could you imagine what an example when Job said you are so irregular it’s like a person on a journey and know there is water in a certain place and they get there and there’s no water.

Have you ever been there, expected someone to have your back but you found them wayyyy back, this was exactly what Job is speaking of.

I am in pain and wanting to die at least I should hear my friends say God bless you Job, well done you are a Good man.

This chapter difiantly shows us that even when we are at our weakest we can not expect for others, to stand loyal. He tells them to take back their unfair judgement for his integrity sake.

People are irregular they are suppose to be irregular we make assumptions on things we know nothing about, this is a lesson that we need to take  whatever that someone maybe going through it is not our place to assume how they got there,  it is just our place to support them in the journey to getting back on their feet.

Gloryyyy to God.
