Matthew 8:1-4New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy

When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy[a] came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

I love this scripture. It starts off with Jesus coming down from the mountain, and crowds of people came along to praise his name, to be healed and Blessed. There came a man with leprosy who wanted to be healed and he says if your willing can you clean me. And Jesus says I will, he touches the man and says be clean. Jesus tells the man go to and show what has happen but tell no one just bring the gifts that Moses said to bring as testimony.

First let me tell you. People didn’t touch a person with Leprosy, I wrote about that in the 2king blog. Naaman went to Elisha to be healed. and Elisha told him to go wash in the Jordan river seven times.

Jesus touched him as if he did not have leprosy and he was healed, Jesus acted as if he was already cured. You may hear a preacher say “pray like you already have it.” this man was clean because he believed in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ believed he was clean,

So Jesus said, now don’t tell anyone what happen just go with the offerings that Moses said take. Listen if it was me, yes I would be all over running my mouth boasting what Jesus did for me. but maybe that’s why I have to choose when to speak now.

I will be working on speaking to God like I already received it, and walk like I am in the position that I’m expecting any minute. following Jesus example and know, the righteous lead by faith.
