Okay let’s get into the word!

Matthew Chapter 26

The plan to kill Jesus

Verse 1-5

The word says Jesus finished saying all things ( things he said in chapter 25) Then he said to the disciples;

As you know the passover feast is two days away. The son of man will be handed over to be nailed on the cross.

Then the chief priest met with the elders of the people. The met in the palace of Caiaphas, the high priest. They made plans to arrest Jesus in a clever way. They wanted to kill him. But not during the feast, they said ‘The people may stir up trouble.’

The Chief priest knew that once he messed with Jesus ,they were going to have trouble. But what we learned from the “Getting to Know Jesus Series”is that all these things must happen, to fulfill purpose.

A Woman pours perfume in Jesus

Verse 6-13

The word says; Jesus was in Bethany. He was in the home of a man named Simon, who had a skin disease. A woman came to Jesus with a special sealed jar of very expensive perfume. She poured the perfume on his head while he was at the table.

When the disciples saw what she had done the became angry, they asked her ‘ Why did you waste that? that could have made money and went to the poor people.’

Jesus was aware of this so he said;

Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. You will always have poor people with you, but you will not always have me! She poured purfume on my body to prepare me to be buried.

What I’m about to tell you is true. What she has done will be told any where this good news is preached, all over the world. It will be told in memory of her.

Everyone had their part this woman and her obedience. Her position and purpose was important she was to prepare Jesus body for his burial. I can imagine that she was like ‘Father are you sure you want it on his body? well Abba clear the way, it shall be done’ These are the times when we should be in position and not doubt. If she doubted the Father’s voice, she wouldn’t have prepared Jesus body for a proper burial.

Judas Agrees to hand Jesus over

Verse 15,16

The word says on of the twelve disciples went to the chief priest. His name was Juds Iscariot he asked; ‘What will you give me, if I hand Jesus over to you?’ They counted out 30 silver coins for him. From then on Judas watched for the right time to hand Jesus over to them.

Even Judas had to play his position this shows us that even if it is betrayal it has to be done. Judas betrayal unlocked Jesus next. and went his purpose was done, his life was complete.

The Lord’s Supper

Verse 17-30

The word says that it was the first day of the feast of unleavened bread. The disciples came to Jesus, they asked;

‘Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the passover meal?’

He replied.

Go into the city to a certain man. Tell him the teacher says ‘my time is near, I am going to celebrate the passover at your house with my disciples.’

The disciples did what Jesus had told them to do. They prepared the passover meal. when evening came Jesus was at the table with the twelve. while they were eating he said,

What I am about to tell you is true. One of you will hand me over to my enemies.

The disciples became very sad. One after the other they began to say to him. ‘It’s not I Lord, is it?

Jesus replied.

The one who has dipped his hands in the bowl with me, will hand me over. The son of man will go just as it is written about him. But how terrible it will be for the one who hands over the son of man! It would be better for him if he wasn’t born.

Judas was the one who was going to hand him over. He said, “it’s not I, Rabbi, is it?”

While they were eating Jesus took bread, He gave thanks and broke it. he handed it to his disciples and said,

Take this and eat it. This is my body”

Then he took the cup. He gave thanks and handed it to the. He said,

All of you drink from it, this is my blood of the new covenant. It is poured out to forgive the sins of many. Here is what I tell you. From now on, I won’t drink wine with you again until the day I drink it with you in my father’s kingdom.

Then they sang  hymn and went out to the mount of olives.

To know who will be the one who hands you over to your death and still break bread, and still offer communion my God. It takes discipline, the discipline that we ask Jesus to give us.

Taught a very important lesson that will have to do with our salvation to understand that in hi sacrifice he gives us apart of his to intake. he did it for us his blood was sacrificed for our sins and last here is communion.

Jesus says that peter will fall

verse 31-35

Jesus told them,

This very night you will all turn away because of me. It is written that the Lord says ‘I will strike the shepherd down’ then the sheep of the flock will be scattered. But after I rise from the dead, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.

Peter replied

“All the others may turn away because of you. But I never will.”

What I’m about to tell you is true. It will happen this very night. Before the rooster crows, you will say three times that you don’t know me.

But Peter said, “I may have to die with you, but I may never say I don’t know you” and all the other disciples said the same.

How many of us have said that we will never deny Jesus. How many of us are willing to profess our love for Jesus Christ. It’s when we are up against someone who is against God and someone willing to persecute you for loving Jesus that you will truly know what you would do. Are you willing to shout on the mountain top that he is Lord, without caring if someone called you a holy roller, or a church lady or Church man.

Jesus prays in Gethsemane

Verse 36-46

The word says, Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane. He said to them.

Sit here while I go over there and pray

He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him. He began to be sad and troubled, then he said to them,

My soul is very sad, I feel close to death. Stay here, keep watch with me.

He went a little further, then fell with his face to the ground. he prayed

My Father, if it is possible take this cup of suffering away from me. But let what you want be done. not what I want.

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping

Couldn’t you men watch with me for one hour?

He asked

Peter! watch and pray. Then you won’t fall in to sin, when you are tempted. The spirit is willing but the body is weak.

Jesus went away a second time. He prayed,

My father, if it is possible for this cup to be taken away? But if I must drink it, may what you want be done.

Jesus came back again and saw that the disciples were sleeping. They couldn’t keep their eyes open. He left them and went away once more, for the third time. He prayed the same thing. aathen he returned to the disciples. He said,

Are you still sleeping and resting? Look the hour is near. The son of man is about to be handed over to sinners. Get up! Let us go, here comes the one who is handing me over to them.

Sometimes we know what maybe ahead us but it can be so troubling that we may need to stay in God’s presence and continued prayer to build the strength. Those around us can’t comfort us, Jesus looked to his disciples to comfort him stay with him but they couldn’t stay awake. The Father was the only one who could comfort Jesus at that moment in his life.

Jesus is betrayed and arrested

Verse 47-55

The scripture says while Jesus was speaking Judas one of the twelve, arrived with a large crowd armed with swords and clubs. they were sent by the chief priest and elders of the people. The betrayer had arranged a signal with them; “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him” going at once to Jesus, Judas said “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him. Jesus replied,

Friend, do what you came for.

The men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. With that, one of Jesus companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest cutting off his ear.

Put your sword back in it’s place, for all who drew the sword will die by the sword. Do you think I can not call on my father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then will the scriptures be fulfilled that say ‘it must in this way?

At that time Jesus said to the crowd,

am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me. Everyday I sat in the temple courts teaching and you didn’t arrest me. But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

In all of this Jesus knew his purpose and was ready to confirm the word of the prophets. Are we ready to walk in the scriptures? Pray like Daniel? Faith like David? Jesus walked in the Scripture of the Son of man spoken by the prophets, to allow flesh to win at that moment wasn’t happening. Another thing to look at is when Jesus says ” you don’t think if I call my father he wouldn’t send more than twelve legion angels?” The next time your battling something expect God to send his legion angels if you should need it. It’s because of Jesus that we have that right. Lord Jesus I am truly in debt to you, you paid the ransom to free my soul. Hallelujah!!

Caiaphas Question Jesus

Verse 57-68

The scripture says when Jesus was arrested he was taken to Caiaphas. The high priest, teachers of the law and elders where gathered there. Peter followed at a distances right to the courtyard of the high priest. The word says he sat down with the guards to see what was going to happen.

The Chief priest and Sanhedrin were looking for some false allegations against Jesus. But they couldn’t find anything, they did have many false witnesses. Then finally two came forward saying Jesus said “He was able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.”

That’s when the high priest asked Jesus if he was going to answer the testimony that was against him. But Jesus remained silent. the high priest said to Jesus, “I charge you under oath by the living God; tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God?”

Yes, it is as you say

Jesus replied;

But I say to you; In the future you will see the son of man sitting at the right hand of the mighty on and coming on the clouds of heaven.

The high priest tore his clothes and said

“You have spoken blasphemy! why do we need any more witnesses? look now you have heard blasphemy, what do you think?”

“He is worthy of death” they answered. They began to spit in his face, and struck him with their fists, others slapped him and said, “Prophesy to us, Christ who hit you?”

When we are faced with hate, anger, frustration from others. yes the easiest thing to do, would be to attack back. Let’s remember the easiest thing usually comes from our flesh. It’s best to remain silent and not respond. saying yes to God and your eternity. sitting with Jesus and brringing others with us is our goal.

At times some will have to endure more pain than others, but it is their faithfulness to the Father that allowed them to stand strong, As Jesus did.

Peter denies knowing Jesus

Verse 69-75

The word says peter was still in the courtyard and a servant girl came up to him and said. “You also was with Jesus of Galilee!” but he denied it in front of everyone. “I don’t know what your talking about.” peter replied back, then he went out to the gateway, where another girl saw him and said to the people there. “This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth!”  he denied it again, with an oath “I don’t know the man!” After a while the people standing around peter said “Surely, you are one of them, yout r accent gives you away.” Then he began to  call down curses on himself and he swore to them. “I don’t know that man!” Immediately the rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken,

Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.

he went outside and wept.

Even Peter had to fulfill his part. Another reminder that God confirms the word of his servant.

I remember as a young christian who hadn’t really understood scripture yet, this part made me so angry with Peter. But now that I’m older I am realizing that may have been the hardest thing. Knowing what they were putting Jesus through and then to have a selfish war with your flesh and your flesh wins. at this very moment Peter Loved himself more than he Loved God. Fearing losing his life and being tortured he decided to deny Jesus. In that the scripture was fulfilled Jesus word was confirmed. and Peters life was preserved for the next, the things that was still left to do.

Isaiah Chapter 3

Blessings everyone,

I pray that you are standing firm in life. There are times when we feel as if God has turned his back. Some may even feel like as if he doesn’t even like them. I find myself thinking those are the most powerful spirits being held down.

The ones he loves the most has it hard, so stand strong, the one who loves you always finds a way for restoration.

Isaiah Chapter 3

Judgement on Jerusalem and Judah

Verse 1-23

Isaiah continues from chapter 2 saying; the almighty Lord is about to take supply and support from Jerusalem and Judah, which includes Food, water, soldiers, judges, prophets, soothsayer, elders, counselors, craft men, clever encounters, and honorable men.

The Lord says; he will make boys the officials, children will direct them. People will oppress each other, man against man, neighbor against neighbor, the young will rise up against the old, the base against the honorable.

A man will forcibly get his brother at his father’s house, and tell him that he is in charge of the disaster, and he will cry that he can’t fix it. He will say; he has no food or clothes, he will beg not to be put in charge.

Jerusalem will stagger and Judah will fall, they will speak and do things against God. Defying his glorious presence. They parade around not even trying to hide their sin. Misery to them, they brought disaster to themselves.

Let the righteous know they will be okay, they will enjoy the fruits of their deeds. Misery to the wicked! Disaster is on them they will be paid back for what their hands have done. Young people oppress my people, women rule over them, my people your guides lead you away, then turn you from your path.

The Lord says; The women of Zion are arrogant, walking around proud of themselves. Worried about their gold, hair, and face. The Lord says; he will bring sores on their on their heads and make them bald.

In that day the Lord will take their treasure of beauty enhancers.

Amen! This really has me thinking and it convicted me a bit, we can not walk around here more concerned about what we have and how to get more to make ourselves look good searching for praise from others, even wanting some to envy them and then all about God. Put God before all that other stuff, he is the reason you were able to get it, he is the reason for your beauty.

Verse 24-26

The Lord says; Instead of sweet smells you’ll stink, instead of a sash you will have a rope, instead of long pretty hair, you will be bald, instead of nice clothes  you will have turn rags, and instead of beauty, you will be branding. Your men will fall by the sword, our warriors in battle.

The gates of zion will be in grief and mourn empty and deserted. She shall sit on the gound

When we are so self centered, God has a way of humbling us. take the moment to chin check your spirit. . I know I did. It just makes sense that we stand with the righteous. I don’t want any grief, so I rather the Lord to just go on a head and deal with that for me. I will walk by faith.

Isaiah Chapter 2

Blessing everyone,

I pray that you all are walking in the ways and will of the Lord. As I sat down to write this blog I thought about the lesson from the chapter, are you in the position to run to Jesus if he came right at the very minute you read the last word that I typed?

I always tell my children make sure that whatever you’re doing, it would be something that made Jesus smile, if he walked up behind you, and said Greetings friend, this chapter of Isaiah reminds us of just that. will you run to the caves and hide in fear? or would you run to him in joy?

Isaiah Chapter 2

The Mountain of the Lord

Verse 1 – 5

The word says; this is what Isaiah saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

The prophet says In the last days the mountain of the Lords Temple will be known as the highest of the mountains. It will be exalted and all nations will stream to it. The prophet says in this day many people will go up it to be closer to the God of Jacob, to learn his ways, so that they can walk in his paths.

The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord will go out from Jerusalem. He will judge between nations and rebuke many people. They will beat their sword in plowshares and their spears in prunninghooks. Nations will not raise their swords against nations, and there won’t be any war.

“Children of Jacob, Let’s walk to the Lord”

In the scripture Isaiah’s vision showed him of the time when jesus would come back.

Isaiah says that the Lord showed him that the people will go to the highest mountain to learn, walk, and build with God. When Jesus comes back there will be no war and the ones that are hating and fighting will be rebuked. Let’s continue

Verse 6-22

The Prophet Isaiah says the Lord has abandoned your people, children of Jacob. They are concerned with superstitions from the east, they practice divination (The practice of getting knowledge from unknown supernatural means, psychic, tarot reading, Palm reading etc..) and embrace pagan customs (idolater).

Their land is full of silver and gold, there is no end to their treasures. Their land is full of horses, there is no end to their chariots, their land is full of idols; they praise their own work, because their fingers made it. And man will be brought low and everyone else put to shame themselves, do not forgive them.

The prophet says go and hide in caves in rocks you people (children of Jacob) hide in holes in the ground. Hide in terror of the Lord! Hide when he comes in glory and majesty. A man who brags will be brought low, a man who’s proud will be put to shame, only the Lord will be honored at this time.

Isaiah says the Lord has set that day apart for all cedar trees in Lebanon they are tall, for all the oak trees in Bashan. For all the towering mountains, for all the high hills, for every high tower, and every strong wall, for every trading ship, every beautiful boat. A man who brags will be brought low, men who brag will be put to shame.

The Lord alone will be honored at that time and the statues of gods will disappear. People will run and hide in caves and rocks, and go in to holes in the ground. They will run afraid of the Lord.

When he comes in Glory and Majesty!

When he comes he will shake the earth. Men had made staues of gods out of silver and made others out of gold, then they worshipped them. But when the Lord comes they will throw the statues to the rodents and bats, they will hide in caves in the rocks, holes in cliffs, they will run afraid of the Lord.

When he comes in Glory and Majesty!

When he comes he will shake the Earth, stop trusting man, he can not help you, he only lives for a little while, what good is he?

Amen! Isaiah is telling us about the day when Jesus will come. The way he’s describing the world then it sounds like the way it is now in these here days we are living in. The word that Isaiah spoke of then is so true. Yes when Jesus comes back and the Earth shakes, those who are walking in sin and rebellion will be scared out of their minds and I do believe that they will TRY to hide.

Be Blessed

Isaiah Chapter 1

Blessing everyone,

Glory be to God, we have seen another day! As I sat down to touch the keyboard, I had just finished speaking to the Lord about my concerns. I began to feel comforted, the Lord spoke reminding me that things that are out of my control, do not concern me!

We  are coming out of the book of Matthew, what I learned from the journey is that somethings must happen, If you walk in it faithfully, you will see God. My fight is in my prayers and so are yours. Our faith in God to guide us, by his will, not ours.

If you are experiencing a fight that comes with confusion, anger, distress that’s not your fight. After the Lord told me it did not concern me, I sat down to work. We can not play with the enemy, when we have work to do for the Kingdom.

Isaiah Chapter 1

Judgement on immoral and idolatrous men

Rebellious Nation

Verse 1-6

This is the vision is Isaiah about Israel and Judah, this happen during Uzziah’s reign

The Lord says to Isaiah, “I have taken care of my children and they rebelled against me. Even an ox and a donkey knows who they belong to. Yet Israel doesn’t know, my people do not understand.”

A sinful nation, Isaiah tells nus the Lord says a sinful nation is a people loaded with guilt, a group of evil doers. Children willing to walk into corruption they have turned against the Lord; They have rejected the Lord of Israel and turned their backs on him.

The Lord asks “Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you continue to rebell. Your head is sick, your heart is weak from the sole of your foot to the top of your head, their is no soundness. only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil.

The Lord shows Isaiah how people were sinful. The sin has us willing to be beaten down in life, than give up our sinful nature. now yes this happen years ago but if we serve a consistent God why would he bother changing his system. when the people are no different now than then. So now we stand with open wounds, hurt scared, broken. Has anyone ever felt that way? Before we get to know Jesus everything feels like it’s just weighing down on us, on our spirit. That’s usually the point that some of us have to get, before we fully give it all up to God. Let’s continue!

Verse 7-20

Isaiah says the Lord said, the country is desolate. The cities are burned down by fire and the fields stripped by strangers right in front of you. The Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem) is left like a shelter in the vineyard, as a hut in a garden of cucumbers, as a city surrounded by devastation.

Isaiah goes on to say to the rulers of Jerusalem; “Hear the word of the Lord, listen to the Laws and instructions of God.” The Lord asks the people of Gomorrah;

what were their sacrifices to him?

The Lord says “I have had enough of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of your well fed cattle and don’t enjoy the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats. When you come to me, who has required this from your hands, disturbing my court? Bring no more empty sacrifices, incense are horrible to me. The new moons, the sabbath, and the calling of assemblies, I can not endure wrongdoing and the sacred assembly meeting.

Your new moons and your appointed feast my soul hates. They have become a burden to me, and I’m tired of bearing them.

When you spread out your hands, I will hid my eyes from you; Even though you keep praying, I will not hear you, your hands are full of blood.

The Lord tells Israel to get clean, put aside their rebellion in front of Him, to stop doing evil things.

Through the prophet the Lord tells Jerusalem to learn to do good and seek justice. To send away oppressors, defend the fatherless and plead for the widow.  “Come on and let us talk about this.” The lord says through the prophet. “Your sin is like scarlet. They shall be as white  as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land, If you refuse to obey and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Amen! The Lord is telling the people of Israel, you just don’t listen, even the animals listen, except you. The Lord is saying get it together, stop doing evil things, stop allowing yourselves to be used against me. If you refuse to obey, you will go down by that sword.

That takes me back to the book of Matthew, when Jesus was being arrested and one of his followers pulled a sword and Jesus said “Live by the sword, die by the sword. what you do will determine your end. Let’s continue!

verse 21-31

The Lord says How does the faithful city become a Harlot? You were full of justice and righteousness, deep in it, but now your murders. The Lord says through the prophet “Your silver has become worthless, your wine diluted, your princes are rebellious and socialize with thieves, everyone loves bribes and follow after rewards. They are not willing to help the fatherless or the widows (single families)

The Lord says through the prophet;

I will rid myself of my adversaries, and take vengeance on my enemies, I will turn my hand against you and purge away your worthlessness, and take away all of your composites.

I will restore your leaders to the first way it was and then you will become a city of righteousness and faith.

Zion will be delivered. Her pentitant ones with righteousness, but rebels and sinners will both be broken, and those that deny God will die.

You will be ashamed because of sacred oaks, in which you have enjoyed.

You will be like an oaks with fading leaves, like a garden without water.

The strong man will become tinder and his work, as a spark; both will burn together with no one to quench the fire

This is just the beginning! Isaiah was used by God to deliver this message, and it was mighty. The Lord spoke about bringing Jesus to restore the relationships with the people (us) and Him, just to allow us to walk in righteousness again.

To break the stronghold of disobedience. If we do not obey good, everything we do will be the spark to a fire.

Be Blessed!

Matthew Chapter 28

Blessings everyone,

I pray that all assignments of the enemy has been canceled in the name of Jesus! when we choose to walk in righteous we know that there will be war and battles. and some of those battles may concern your name and character being what may seem like destroyed. But remember God destroys to rebuild.

Matthew Chapter 28

Jesus Rises from the Dead

Verse 1-10

The scripture says the sabbath day was over, it was down on the first day of the week and Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. The word says there was a powerful earthquake, an angel of the lord came down from heaven and went to the tomb. The angel rolled the stone back and sat on it. the scripture describes his body by saying it was shining like lightning and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him, they shook and became like dead men.

The word says the angel told the women not to be afraid, he knew they were looking for Jesus who was crucified The angel says; “He is not here, he has risen just as he said he would! Come see the place where he was lying. go quickly and tell his disciples. He has risen from the dead, ‘he is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him’ Now I have told you.to them

Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee. There they will see me

The women hurried away from the tomb. They were afraid, but filled with joy, they ran to tell the disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them “Greetings” he said they took hold of his feet and worshiped them. Jesus said

Hallelujah he has Risen! I wonder if the angel that announced that he had risen was the same angel that told Mary she was pregnant with him, and the same angel that told Joseph to get up and leave. Just a thought.

THE Guards Report to the Chief Priest

Verse 11-15

The scripture says some of the guards went into the city and they reported to the chief priest all that happened. the word says that the chief priest and elders came up with a plan to pay the guards to lie and say “the disciples came and took Jesus body while they were sleeping, and if the governor hears about this we will pay him off” The soldiers took the money and did as they were told. This story was spread all around among the jews the word says to this day.

When people stand on their lies they have to add on, they need to make sure that their image doesn’t end up making them look like the fools they are.

Jesus final orders to his disciples

Verse 16-20

The word says then the 11 disciples went to Galilee they went to the mountain that Jesus told them to go. They worshipped Jesus when they saw him but some still had their doubt. Scripture says Jesus came to them and said;

All Authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. So you must go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach to obey everything I have commanded you. and you can be sure that I am always with you to the very end.

Amen,Amen, Amen, Yes Lord. Now we go out and teach new disciples of all nations and baptize them, and teach them to obey God’s Command.

Be Blessed

Matthew Chapter 27

Blessing everyone,

I pray that you all are looking straight forward, not to the left or to the right. Tunnel vision for the Lord. Even when someone may have you rolling your eyes and sucking your teeth. there is no need to worry about what they knew better about, our main concern is that the father will handle that.

Okay let’s get into the word!

Matthew Chapter 27

Council of religious leaders condemn Jesus

Verse 1,2

The word says early in the morning they decided to put him to death.

Judas kills himself

Verse 3-10

The word says when Judas saw that Jesus was condemned, he was strucken with remorse and returned the silver coins. “I have sinned, I have betrayed innocent blood.” The religious leaders answered him saying “What is that to us, that’s your problem.”

The chief priest said to Judas “it’s against the law to put the coins in the treasury, it’s blood money.” So they used the money to buy the potters field as a burial place for foreigners. That’s why it’s called the field of blood. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah was fulfilled.

“They took the thirty silver coins, the price set on him by the people of Israel, and they used them to buy the potter’s field as the Lord commanded me.”

As I was reading this scripture I was reminded that we don’t need to worry about the people that betray us, as believers we have to stand firm knowing that the father will handle that, and it has already been worked out. The Lord had already spoken about how he was going to handle Judas before Jesus even came down.

Jesus stands trial before pilate

Verse 11-14

The word says Jesus stood before the governor. The governor asked Jesus “Are you the king of the jews?” Jesus answered,

Yes, it is as you say.

The scripture says when he was accused by the chief priest and the elders he gave no response. The governor asked Jesus why he didn’t defend himself against the testimonies against him. Jesus did not respond.

Being willing to know that there is not one reason to bother defending ourselves against people unwilling to listen. Some things call for us to be like Jesus and wait on God to speak our truth. Trying to prove our innocence to people who already fixed in their mind is and can be a waste of a blessed breath.

Pilate hands Jesus over to be crucified

Verse 15-25

The scripture says it was a custom to release a prisoner at the feast. A repeat criminal by the name of Barabbas was the option other than Jesus. When the crowd gathered pilate asked them which one they wanted him to release Barabbas or Jesus, the scripture says that pilate knew it was out of envy that the crowded called for Jesus.

The scripture goes on to sat that Pilate’s wife sent word to him in a message that said ” Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man. For I have suffered a great deal today in a dream, because of him.” But the chief priest and elders convinced the crowd to ask for barrabas and execute Jesus. when pilate asked why he should crucify Jesus the crowd just answered “Crucify him”

The word says pilate washed his hands and said

“I’m innocent of this man’s blood, it is your responsibility!” the crowd answered “let his blood be on us and our children!” The he released Barabbas to them, but had Jesus flogged and handed him over to be crucified.

Sometimes people will be filled with so much anger and hatred they aren’t concerned with right or wrong. In this case the prophecy had to be fulfilled, and all this had to happen. but I have to say How following someone can lead you down the wrong road. The crowd was following their religious leaders, but didn’t think about the word taught in the temples and spoken by the prophets. It’s like the picked what they wanted to know as many still do.

We look at bad situations and some would say what God does this? But people are on this Earth for a purpose and certain things must happen. Jesus was sent here just so that we can be in God’s grace again, he had to go through what most of us will so that we can overcome it. so that we can make our way to heaven.

Roman soldiers mock Jesus

Verse 27-31

The word says the governors and soldiers took Jesus to the praetorium and all the soldiers gathered around him, stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him and twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand and Knelled in front of him and mocked him. After they mocked him they took off the robe placed his own clothes on him and led him away to be crucified.

He who knows better, will do better. In this circumstance, they lesson learned will be bigger than any of them would think.

Jesus led the away to be crucified

Verse 32-44

The scripture says that as they were going out there was a man named Simon from Cyrene that they forced to carry the cross for Jesus. They came to a place called Golgotha (The Place of Skull). When they got there they offered Jesus wine mixed with Gall.

Scripture says after Jesus tasted it, he refused to drink it. It goes on to say when they crufied him they divided his clothes by casting lots. Above his head read “This is Jesus, the king of the jews”.

The word says that two robbers were crucified with him, one on the left and one on the right. People passed by insulting him, and shaking their heads, saying; “Come down from the cross , if your the son of God!” “He saved others, but can’t save himself!” “He’s the king of Israel let him come down from the cross, and we will believe in him. Since he says ‘I’m the son of God.'” The scripture says even the robbers were insulting him.

And he was dying for those very same people. To allow our love for God to over power how we may feel about another person. That’s the only way you can show love to a person who may have wronged you. You have to dig deep and see pass the outer layer.

Jesus had to be in prayer on that cross he had to have mentally took his mind in to a prayer room and removed his spirit from all that hate. Thank you Lord!

Jesus Dies on the cross

Verse 45-56

The scripture says from the sixth hour to the ninth hour darkness came over the land. About the ninth hour Jesus cried out.

Eloi,Eloi. lama Sabachthani

which means “my God, my God why have you forsaken me?”

The scripture says when some of those standing there heard this they said ” He’s calling Elijah” Immediately one of them ran and got the sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar and put it on a stick, he offered it to Jesus to drink. The others said to leave him alone and see if Elijah comes to save him. The scripture says when Jesus cried out again in a loud voice he gave up his spirit.

The curtains in the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The Earth shock and rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of the holy people were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus’ resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many People.

The scripture says  when the Centurion and those guarding him saw the earthquake and all that had happen they were terrified. They said “Surely he was the son of God”

The scripture says that there was a lot of women who were there watching from a distance, these were the women that followed Jesus and cared for his needs.

To be the women that cared for Jesus’ needs watching him die because, innocent blood shed. I asked this question Would you believe someone if they said they Were Jesus coming back for his church?

Jesus is laid in the tomb

Verse 57-61

The scripture starts by telling us that as evening was coming, a rich man by the name of Joseph from a town called Arimathea. Who also happen to be a disciple of Jesus, went to pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. Pilate gave him permission to take the body of Jesus. Joseph took Jesus’ body, wrapped it in clean linen and put him in his own new tomb, that he had cut out of rock. He rolled a big stone in front and went away. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting opposite the tomb.

And now there was a shift, Everyone stand in their position. From Joseph having a tomb ready if we go back to him sending a message to the man Simon with the skin disease that he will have passover at his house. To the Mary’s being across from the tomb.

Guards are posted at the tomb

Verse 62- 66

Scripture says the next day was the day after preparation day. The chief priest and the pharisees went to pilate. “Sir, we remember something that liar said while he was alive. He claimed  ‘After three days , I will rise again’ so give the order to make the tomb secure until the third day. If you don’t his disciples might come and steal the body. Then they will tell the people that Jesus has been raised from the dead. This last lie will be worst than the first.”

Pilate told them to take some guards with them and secure the tomb so they went and made the tomb secure, they sealed the tomb and placed some guards of duty.

This chapter is always hard to read and even though as a believer we know that these things must happen in order for us to be able to get to the glory of the Father.

Crazy part is that even in death they were worried about what Jesus had said. They were scared at the tearing of the temple curtains or maybe even the earthquake. This shows us that the enemy will still try to make you look like a liar even when you know the truth.

It falls in line with believing that you can not identify the voice of God. It’s the same voice that when you listen to it you end up in the right spot at the right time. In some way the enemy has found a way to make you believe that your wrong. So he sealed up the tomb where Jesus is and told you it was just you, but remember that Death couldn’t hold him down so it has to be the Lord speaking to you.

Be Blessed

Matthew Chapter 25

The story of the ten briadsmaids

Verse 1-13

here is what the kingdom of heaven will be like at that time. Ten bridesmaids took their lamps and went out to meet the groom. Five of them were foolish, five were wise.

The foolish ones took their lamps, but didn’t take any olive oil with them. The wise ones took oil in a jar with their lamps. The groom didn’t come for along time so the bridesmaids all grew tired and fell asleep.

At midnight someone cried out, ‘Here’s the groom! come out to meet him!’

Then all the bridesmaids woke up and got their lamps ready. The foolish ones said to the wise ones ‘Give us some of your oil, our lamps are going out.’

‘No, they replied there may not be enough for all of us. Instead go to those who sell oil, buy some for yourselves.’

So they went to buy the oil. But while they were on their way, the groom arrived. The bridesmaids who were ready went in with him to the wedding dinner. Then the door was shut.

Later the other bridesmaids also came. ‘Sir! Sir!’ they said ‘open the door for us!’

But he replied, ‘What I’m about to tell you is true, I don’t know you’.

So keep watch, you don’t know the day or the hour the groom will come.

Just like we learned in Chapter 24, Jesus says he doesn’t know when he’s coming, only the Father knows. When the Father, tells Jesus it’s time, Jesus will say Yes. Will you be ready? Doing things that the Father will be proud of.

What we do know is that the five foolish bridesmaids were not ready at all. Instead of packing and figuring out what the needed they talked about what they were going to say, probably fixed their make up and all kinds of things. The started running late grabbed their lamps and rushed out probably trying to beat the five wise bridesmaids to the perfect spot. and what happened they had to go look for oil to buy, and missed his arrival.

For us it means that we should have been walking with our key to the kingdom.

The story of the three servants

Verse 14-30

Again here is what the kingdom of heaven will be like. A man was going on a journey. He sent for his servants and put them in charge of his property. He gave $10,000 to one. He gave $4,000 to another. And $2,000 to the third. The man gave each servant the amount of money he knew the servant could take of then he went on his journey.

The servant who had received the $10,000 went at once and put his money to work. He earned $10,000 more. The one with $4,000 earned $4,000 more. But the man who had received $2,000, and dug a hole in the ground he hid his masters money in it.

After a longtime the master to those  returned, he wanted to collect all the money they earned. The man who was given $10,000  brought the other $10,000. ‘Master’ he said ‘you trusted me with $10,000 . See, I have earned $10,000 more.

His master replied. ‘You have done well, good and faithful servant! you have been faithful with a few things . I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your masters happiness!’

The man with $4,000 also came. ‘Master’ he said ‘you trusted me with $4,000. See, I have earned $4,000 more.

His master replied ‘you have done well good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your masters happiness!’

Then the man who received $2,000 came. ‘Master’ he said. ‘I knew that you are a hard man. You harvest where you have not planted. You gather crops where you have not scattered seeds, so I was afraid. I went out and hid your $2,000 in the ground. See, here i what belongs to you.

His master replied, ‘You evil, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not planted? You knew that I gather crops where I have not scattered seeds? well then, you should have put my money in the bank when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

Then the master commanded the other servants ‘Take the $2,000 from him. Give it to the one who has $20,000. Everyone who has will , be given more. ‘He will have more than enough. and what about anyone who doesn’t have? Even what he has will be taken away from him. Throw that worthless servant outside. There in the darkness, people will sob and grind their teeth.

What are you doing with what the Lord has given to you?  We can not sit feeling worthless and hiding from our inheritance because our gift are hidden in the ground.

we should be taking it and allowing God to trust us with more this is what we call living to our full potential

The Sheep and the Goat

Verse 31-46

The son of man will come in all his glory. All the angels will come with him. Then he will sit on his throne in the glory of heaven. All the nations will be gathered in front of him. He will separate the people in two groups. He will be like a Shepard who separates the sheep from the goats, he will put the sheep to his right and the goats to his left.

Then the king will speak to those on his right. He will say, ‘my father has blessed you come and take what is yours. It is the kingdom prepared for you since the world was created. I was hungry and yo gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you gave them to me. I was sick and you took care of me. I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Then the people who have done what is right will answer him. ‘Lord ‘ they will ask, ‘when did we see you hungry and feed you? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you as a stranger and invite you in? when did we see you needing clothes and give them to you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go visit you?’

The king replied ‘What I’m about to tell you is true. Anything you did for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did for me’

Then he will say to those on his left. ‘You are cursed! go away from me into the fire that burn forever . It has been prepared for the devil and his angels. I was hungry but you gave me nothing to eat. I was thirsty but you gave me nothing to drink. I was a stranger but you didn’t invite me in. I needed clothes but you did not give me any. I was sick and in prison but you did not take care of me.

They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did I see you hungry or thirsty and not help you? when did we see you as a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison and not help you?’

He will reply, ‘what I’m about to tell you is true. Anything you didn’t do for one of the least important of these, you didn’t do for me.

Then they will go away to be punished forever. But those who have done what is right will receive eternal life.

This one right here, what ever you have done for someone less fortunate is like doing for Jesus. If you have Christ, our God  in your life than you should have been blessed with compassion, and our goals should be his grace.

Now for the most Important part, if you are looking to build your foundation in faith, you can Google, download a free bible app, or turn your bible to Romans chapter 10:9 and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Lets get in to the word of God!

Matthew Chapter 24

Jesus teaches on the Mount of Olives

Verse 1-25

The word says; then Jesus went out and left from the temple his disciples came up to show him the building of the temple.

Jesus said;

Did you not see all the things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another that shall not be thrown down.

The word says as Jesus sat quietly on the mount of Olive the disciples came to him privately and asked;

“When will these things be? And what will be the sum of your coming; and of the end of age?”

Jesus answered

Take head that no one deceives you. For many saying I am the Christ and will deceive many.

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it you are not alarmed. Such things must happen but the end is still to come.

Nations will rise against nations, and kingdims against kingdoms. There will be famine and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from faith amd will betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

Because of the increase of wickedness the love of most will grow cold. But he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

So when you see standing in the holy place the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of through the prophet Daniel, let the reader understand. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of his house. Let know one in the fields, go back to get his cloak.

How dreadful it will ne in those days for pregnant women, and nursing mothers. Pray that your flight will not take place in winter, or the sabbath, for then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be equal again.

If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time, if anyone says to you, look here is Christ! Or there he is! Do not believe it, for false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform greatsigns and miracles to decieve even the elect if that was possible. See, I told you ahead of time.

The Lord is warning us, there will be a day where false Christ, false prophets and false any position of teaching will come.

It will be our discernment that guides us.

We will have to develop and work on our relationship with God, to know and believe that all confusion will come to an end, and not everyone will like you and some will plot and try to destroy you.

Be still in God.

Jesus tells about his return

Verse 26 -35

So if anyone tells you, ‘He is for out in the desert, do not go out there. Or if anyone says ‘je is deep inside the house, do not believe it. Lighting that comes from the east can be seen in the west.

It will be the same, when the son of man comes. The vultures will gather wherever there is a dead body.

Right after the terrible suffering of those days, The sun will be darkened

The moon will not shine. The stars will fall from the sky.

The heavenly bodies will be shaken. ‘At that time the sign of the son of man will appear in the sky. All the nations on earth will be sad.’

They will see the son of man coming on the clouds of the sky. He will cime with power and a great Glory.

He will send his angels with a loud trumpet call. They will gather his chosen people from all four directions. They will bring them from one end of heaven to the other.

Learn a lesson from the fig tree as soonas it’s twigs get tender and it’s leaves come out, you know that summer is near. It is right at the door.

What I’m about to tell you is true. The people living at that time will certainly not pass away, until all those things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The word tells us not to believe those that come in and say the are Jesus.

The Lord tells us that when He returns you will see all kinds of miracles, signs, and wonders and this you can believe necause heaven and Earth can disappear but His word will still remain standing.

The day and hour are not known

Verse 36- 48

No one knows about that day or hour. Not even the angels in heaven know. The son doesn’t know, only the Father.

Remember how it was in the days of Noah. It will be the same when the Son of Man comes.

In the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking. They were getting married. They were giving there daughters away to be married. They did all those things right up to the day Noah entered the Ark.

They knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be when the Son of Man comes.

Two men will be in the field. One will be taken amd the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill, one will be taken the other left.

So keep watch. You do not know what day your Lord will come. You must understand something;

Suppose the owner of the house knew what time of the night the robber was coming. Then he would have kept watch, he would not have let his house be broken into.

So you also must be ready, the Son of man will come at the hour you don’t expect.

Suppose a master puts one of his servants in charge of the other servant’s in his house. The servant’s job is to give them their food at the right time. The master wants a faithful, wise servant for this. It would ne good for the servant if the master finds him doing his job, when the master returns. What I’m about to tell you is true. Tje master will put that servant in charge of everything he owns.

But suppose that servant is evil. Suppose he says to himself, my master is staying away a longtime, suppose he eats and drinks with those who drinks too much.

The master of that servant will come back on a day the servant didnt expect him. He will return at an hour the servant doesn’t know. Then the master will cut him to pieces. He will send him to the place where pretenders go. There people will sob and grind their teeth.

Amen! The Lord tells us that we have to be ready and waiting for his return.

Do not sleep, because even he doesn’t know when he will return. Only the father.

As we go on our journey here on Earth lets remember that we don’t know when Jesus is coming back. Let’s act as if he is right around the corner.

Lets get in to the word of God!

Matthew Chapter 23

Verse 1 – 12

Jesus Judges the Pharisees and the Teachers of the law

The word says then Jesus spoke to multitudes and his disciples saying;

Scribes and pharisees sit in Moses seat.

Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do. But di not do according to their works, for they say and do not do.

For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them down on men’s shoulders, but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Bit all their works, they di to ‘be seen by men’. They make their phylacteries nroad and enlarhe the borders of their garments.

They love the best places at feast, the best seats in the synagogues.

Greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called Rabbi, Rabbi.

But you do not be called Rabbi; for one is your teacher, the Christ and you are all brethrens.

Do not call anyone on earth father; for one is your father, he who is in heaven.

And do not be called teacher, for one is your teacher, the Christ.

But he who is greater among you, shall be your servant.

And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

Amen, when I was typing out this verse I tought about how most people arr not going to church because they feel as if it’s now a gathering for hypocrites.

I think at times people want to pick what they want from the bible.

When I started my righteousness walk, I heard people say things like that’s my spiritual mother, that’s my spiritual father. While we are on Earth, we are making away for our heavenly treasures. The Lord says don’t bother calling someone else father or teacher they are your brethren, learning right with you they may know more, and so you share but know this. If that person is exalted here on earth in heaven they will be the servant.

This is something for people that feel as if they know everything, and that certainly can be me at sometimes. If first will be last, and last will be first. Then the one who wants to be better than others and be in charge will have to learn how to serve. And for those who served here on earth will unlock treasures it’s all about your eternity.

Also don’t be so quick to want to teach someone something and not bother learning the lesson your self, just because you wanted a name deacon, pastor, prophet, apostle. Try unlocking it in heaven and on earth stand in service as equal as God has placed us.

Jesus Condemns the religious leaders

Verse 13- 36

But woe to you, scribes and pharisees hypocrites!

For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men. For you neither go in yourself nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Woe to the scribes and pharisees hyoocrites!

For you devour widows houses, and or pretense make long prayers, therefore you will receive greater condemnation.

Woe to you, scribes and pharisees hypocrites!

For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte and when he os won, you makr him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Woe to you, blind guides, who say, “whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple; he is obliged to perdorm it.

Fools and blind! Fir which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?

And, whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, if oblhed to perform it.

Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gifts?

There fore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and all things on it.

He who swears by the temple, swears by it and him who dwells in it.

And he who swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who sits on it.

Woe to the scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: Justice mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.

Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel.

Woe to you scribes and pharisees, hypocrites!

For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, bit inside they are full of extortion and self indulgence.

Blind pharisees, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish that the outside of them may be clean also.

Woe to you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! for you are  like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.

Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Woe to you scribes, pharisees, Hypocrites! because you built the tombs of prophets. Adorn the monuments of the righteous, and say, ‘If we had lived  in the days of our fathers we would not have been partakers with them in the  blood of the prophets’.

Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are the son of those who murdered the prophets.Fill up then, the measure of your fathers guilt. Serpents brood of viper, how can you escape the condemnation of hell?

Therefore indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your in you synagogues and persecute from city to city.

That on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the Earth, from the blood of Zechariah son  of Berechiah whom you murdered between the temple and the alter.

Assuredly I say to you all those things will come upon this generation.

Amen! The Lord speaks to the Scribes and Pharisees about their inward behavior, about teaching one way and doing another. About cleaning the outside and still being dirty inside.

In our righteous walk we can be stuck on what people see on the outside and so engulfed in our cover up, that we have forgotten about our inside. I call it the perfect family syndrome. you know , when you tell everyone to smile land act right but in the house everyone is fighting and dealing with regret, animosity, and family hurt.

Well Jesus is saying as teachers, preachers, ministers, prophets we must be careful to keep our insides clean. Building our relationship with God everyday, fighting our flesh not only in the open but also in the house, in our minds. Those corners need to be clean as well as the door frames to our spirits, need to be wiped down. The things that you think people don’t see. God does sees.

Your eternity depends on it. The Lord says in these verses just because you are teaching Gods law your still going to be condemned to hell. Even worse, because now your teaching one thing and then displaying another. This is just teaching the people that are on the inside with you ( student) that they can do it as well, and because you say your the teacher then the person who doesn’t know any better will go to hell, but the teacher will be closer to the fire.

Jesus grieves over Jerusalem again

verse 37-39

O’Jerusalem, O’Jerusalem the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together  as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings but you were not willing. See! your house is left to you desolate, for I say to you, you shall see me no more till you say, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

If we take these words and apply it as if we are Jerusalem. we have done things disrespectful to God’s law’s and commands. and the Lord is saying I want to just take your children under my wing, but you won’t let me. your life and going down, and I am not going to come back until you come to me, until you acknowledge who I am.

Be Blessed

Matthew Chapter 22

Verse 1-14

Jesus told them more stories He said,

Here is what the kingdom of heaven is like. A king prepared a wedding dinner for his son.

he sent his servants to those who had been invited to the dinner. The servants told them to come but they refused.

Then he sent some more servants. He said ‘tell those that were invited that I have prepared my dinner. I have killed my oxen and fattest cattle. Everything is ready, come to the wedding dinner.’

But people paid no attention,. One went away to his field. another went to his business. The rest grabbed his servants. They treated them badly and then killed them.

The king became very angry. He sent his army to destroy the murderers and burned their city.

Then the king said to his servant. The wedding banquet is ready, but those that I invited didn’t deserve to come. Go to the street corners and invite anyone you can find.’

So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find both good and bad and the wedding hall was filled with guest.

But when the king came in to see the guest he noticed a man who wasn’t wearing any clothes.

The King asked,

‘Friend, how did you get in here without wearing any clothes?’ the man was speechless.

Then the king told the attendants, ‘tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, for many are invited, but feww are chosen.’

*gnashing- grinding, gritting

This scripture was right on time. As I am preparing for today’s Journey in Praise Reflections, the question is; what do we serve?

This scripture has taught me, we don’t just serve the word of God to people. The king is having a wedding banquet and he tells his servants go on the street corners, the internet, and bring all the people you can find, good or bad.

Some will not make it in, but those who will come ready and willing. The question that we need to ask ourselves on our Journey is “Am I living for my eternity”
Religious leaders question Jesus about paying Taxes

Verse 15-22

The eord says then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. They sent their disciples to him along with Herodains.

“Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are. Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to caesar or not?” The pharisees disciples asked Jesus.

But Jesus knowing their evil intent, said,

You hypocrites! Why are you trying to trap me?

Show me the coin used for paying the tax.

The brought him a denarius and he asked them

Who’s portrait is this? Who’s inscription?

“Caesar’s” they replied

Then Jesus said

Give to caesar what is Caesar’s, and give to God what is God’s.

When they heard this they were amazed. They left him amd went away.

What are you taking?

As I went over this scripture verses, my spirit reminded me of my prayers.

“Lord remove pride and flesh wants from me.”

When walking in righteousness we should be giving God what is his.

The people that we serve the word of God to, there spirit man is what we are bringing to the king. Are we taking the credit?

We are bot the ones who save people, we are the vessels that are used to get them there.

Bringing a spirit to walk along a righteous path is like paying your taxes to God, giving to him what is his.

Giving a person us via our time, our word is not going to give them what their spirit needs.

Religious leaders question Jesus about resurrection

Verse 23-33

The word says; the sameday the saducees who were saying there was no resurrection came and asked him.

“Teacher, Moses told us that if a man dies without children his brother must marry his widow and have children for him. Now there is seven brothers among us the first one marroed and died, and since he had no children he left his wife to his brother. The samething happen with the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. Finally the woman died. At the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her.”

Jesus replied;

You are in error because you do not know the scriptures or power of God. At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be guven in marriage, they will be like angels in heaven. But about the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what God said to you,I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

The wors says when the crowds heard this they were astonished at his teachings.

The Lord is the God of the living, our spirits keep moving going on to our next, after our spirit man has been built.

Our spirit being resurrected to the next. Our spirit rise to our eternity.

Religious leaders question Jesus about the greatest commandment

Verse 34-40

The word says that when the pharisees learned that Jesus silenced the saducees, they got together.

The word says the expert among them tested Jesus amd asked him.

“Teacher what is the greatest commandmentbib the law?”

Jesus answered;

You shall love the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and your mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

On these two commandments hang all the law amd prophets

The word says while the Pharisees were together Jesus asked them;

What do you think about the Christ? Who’s son is He?

They anwered him

“The son of David”

Jesus then asked them,

How is is that in spirit David calls him Lord saying

‘The Lord said to my Lord “sit at my right hand till I made your enemies your footstool.”

If David calls him Lord, how is He his son?

The word says no one was able to answer him and that was the last day they questioned him.

Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself.

The firsr commandment is easy to alot of us, but what about the second?

Are you willing to give up your eternity to dislike, insult, or hate someone.

Some people can make it hard to love them through their ugly but the truth where tgere is ugly, God is missing.

We have to be ready to pray a person through their ugly with our faith. Our hearts, and love should be petitioning a request to God on their behalf

Today take the time to ask God to allow you the ability to love your neighbor pass their outer layer.

It is in him that we are moving in that second commandment in truth
